By BBN staff: Yesterday around 15:00, police responded to an armed robbery report at Southern Quick Loan on Chatuye Street, Dangriga.
Felecita Murcia, 29, the Southern Quick Loan cashier reported that while at the workplace a man entered the office with a shackle envelope in his hand.
The man immediately pushed her inside the office, closed the door and pulled out what appeared to be a gun, pointed her at her and demanded money.
Murcia would then have returned $ 412.00.
The culprit then placed the gun on the table and began rummaging through the cupboards and allegedly punched Murcia on the left side of his face.
The culprit then stole electronics, jewelry and other sundries, all for a total value of over $ 3,000.00.
Police have since apprehended Bruce Harvey, 34, a surveyor of # 7 Dolphin Street, Belize City and recovered the stolen items as well as a black 9mm pistol with a magazine containing (10) live ammunition.
