Private lender IPDC Finance Ltd introduced the first interest-free book loan titled ‘Subodh’ at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair held in the capital, with the aim of inspiring book lovers and the new generation to buy new books.
One can get a loan of up to Tk 3,000 and repay in three installments, according to a press release.
With the slogan “Notun boiyer ghrane, subodh jaguk prane”, the IPDC launched the product on Monday at the premises of the Bangla Academy.
The Director General and CEO of IPDC, Mominul Islam, eminent singer of Souls Partha Barua, Arif R Hossain of Robi 10 Minute School were present, among others, at the launch ceremony.
The loan facility can be enjoyed during the country’s largest book fair, throughout the month of February.
To benefit from the loan, you will only need a national identity card and a bkash application.
All information and support services are available at the IPDC stand on the fair site. In addition, a person can also take out an instant loan from the booth.
